Canadian Dental Care Plan — We’re Here to Help
If you’re covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), our team is here to help make understanding your dental benefits easier. The CDCP can help reduce the cost of eligible dental services, but it does not necessarily mean that all treatment is covered at 100%. Depending on your coverage and the CDCP established fees, you may have a co-payment or other amount to pay.
We’re happy to help you understand your coverage before treatment. Our team can review your CDCP benefits, explain any expected co-payments or additional charges, and help you understand what your portion may be.
Direct Billing to the CDCP
To make things as convenient as possible, we can direct bill Sun Life on your behalf for eligible CDCP services. This means you do not need to pay the full cost of covered treatment upfront and then wait for reimbursement. Sun Life pays the covered portion directly to our office, and you pay any applicable co-payment or amount not covered by the plan.
We believe in keeping things simple and transparent. Before proceeding with treatment, we’ll do our best to explain your estimated coverage and any costs you may be responsible for, so there are no surprises.
Please note that CDCP coverage is subject to eligibility, plan rules, frequency limitations, established CDCP fees, and preauthorization requirements where applicable. Coverage can change, and final payment is determined by Sun Life.
